Gas genset can be used to generate power by using biogas produced after the treatment of animal manure, kitchen waste, etc. The power can be used for self-consumption or online, while generating power, gas genset can utilize the heat of circulating water and smoke, which is what we usually call CHP (Combined Heat and Power) application.


This project is a biogas genset for power generation, which utilizes the heat generated by cooling water during engine running through waste heat exchange. During the unit running, it is not only necessary to make full use of the heat of cooling water, but also to ensure the temperature of engine inlet cooling water. In the whole control process, controller has to control the high-temperature water waste heat valve, water cooling valve, low-temperature water cooling valve to ensure the engine running temperature.


The system controls both high-temperature water waste heat valve and cooling valve with the engine inlet temperature as the reference. If engine inlet temperature exceeds the set value, high-temperature waste heat valve will open gradually to provide the users with waste hot water and stabilize engine cooling water inlet temperature to set value.
If engine cooling water inlet temperature continues to rise and high-temperature water waste heat valve is fully open, open the high-temperature water cooling valve so that the engine circulating water can be cooled through the radiator.

The control of intercooled water cooling valve is relatively simple and is also controlled by controller. The inlet temperature of intercooled water is used as the reference, the intercooled cooling valve is controlled to keep the intercooled water temperature at the set value during engine running.
